Guru Makeup Emporium is a professional makeup retailer based in London supplying products to S/FX artists, Makeup Artists, and Hairdressers within the TV, Film, Fashion, and Theatrical Industries worldwide. With a focus on expanding their existing audience and driving sales, Guru Makeup Emporium wanted to increase reach using an omnichannel strategy utilising creative Social, PPC, and Email campaigns.

Our Strategy

Guru had previously run PPC campaigns and approached Peaky Digital in order to build upon their existing brand presence and drive revenue to the website. We started with an account analysis to explore previous customer insights and view the most successful campaign elements. Alongside this, we conducted our own research in order to identify key focus areas to build campaigns around. We then used this information in order to create tailored campaigns able to reach customers at every stage within the conversion funnel.

Within Guru Makeup Emporium’s Paid Social Strategy, we focused on creating tailored content designed to acquire new customers by raising awareness of the latest drops on the website, alongside creating loyalty and encouraging repeat purchases for returning customers. This worked in tandem with the production of high-quality, on-brand creatives that were designed to stand out in a busy marketplace and appeal to the target audience at different stages of the funnel.

To complete their omnichannel strategy, we mapped out a series of email campaigns in order to target a range of audiences at various stages of the conversion process. Focusing on offer-led and product-based emails, we created a content-filled calendar designed to capture a range of demographics and drive revenue to the website.

The Results

PPC:
Looking at YoY data, through our tailored campaigns we have seen an increase of 76.94% in transactions from PPC alongside a 99.11% YoY increase in PPC revenue. This has also driven an 83.09% YoY increase in clicks from PPC.

Paid Social:
Since launching paid social media with us, we have seen impressive results from Guru’s campaigns year on year. For example, there was a 110% increase in conversions from paid social alongside a 109% increase in revenue. This was also achieved at a lower cost per conversion, also seeing a 46% decrease in CPA.

Most recently, the focus has been on attracting new customers to the Guru brand. We’ve adopted a data-led approach to maximise the efficiency of their ads targeting, proactively adjusting course when the results of our split testing demanded it.
