Historic Royal Palaces approached us seeking a bespoke training package, they had invested in training previously but found that often it wasn’t relevant to them and their needs. Their goal was to enhance their team’s skills, empowering them with the confidence to develop strategic content that guaranteed an impact.

Key Marketing Challenges

  1. Ownership of marketing responsibilities had transitioned – previously overseen by the central marketing team, the responsibility has since been transferred to the events team.
  2. Multiple Team Members across Multiple Locations – with multiple teams across the UK and Ireland, cohesivity of content was a priority. They wanted to ensure all teams were up-skilled and equipped with the confidence to gather and post content across their social media platforms.
  3. Relevant and Bespoke Training – the team had invested in training previously but found that it didn’t meet their expectations. They were seeking training that was bespoke to their industry, audience and activity.

Our Strategy

Our Social Media Manager led a half-day training session in a workshop format that encouraged collaboration, gave space for idea generation, and created excitement among the teams. Participants left with actionable insights and tools, ready to kickstart their new strategy immediately.

Bringing the Campaign to Life

  1. Pre-training planning – our Social Media Manager conducted pre-training planning, which included, reviewing Historic Royal Palaces’ current performance, analysing competitors, and assessing industry trends. This ensured that the training not only covered platform best practices and algorithm preferences but also provided tailored insights specifically relevant to Historic Royal Palaces.
  2. Bespoke training materials – taking the time to create training materials that aligned with the specific objectives set by Historic Royal Palaces, to ensure that the training met their expectations.
  3. In-person workshop – the training was conducted in person at Hampton Court Palace, one of the many sites managed by the client.
